How to Find a Facebook Profile From an Image URL

Facebook images are stored in galleries that organize each image. The actual URL of each individual image contains a number that uniquely identifies the profile of the user who posted the image. Your Web browser has a built-in function that allows you to view the URL of the image. If you find a Facebook image through an image search such as Google Images, using this unique number in the image URL can help you find the profile associated with the image.

Step 1

Right-click a Facebook image in your Web browser and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.

Step 2

Locate the "Address: (URL)" section and write down the second to last number. It should look like: 5102898

Step 3

Replace "ProfileID" in the following URL with the number that you copied: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=ProfileID This results in a URL of: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=5102898

Step 4

Copy the URL that you created in Step 3 and paste it into your Web browser. Press "Enter" to access the user's Facebook profile.
